19thC Antique Japanese Early Meiji Period Papier Mache Black Lacquered Glove Box.

Measures 5cm tall by 30cm across with a depth of 9cm.

Nice sized collectors box made from papier mache with black lacquered finish and gold gilt decoration.The top lid shows a garden scene.

Good overall condition with usual age related marks,scuffs etc all commensurate with age and use and nice worn aged patina....As shown in all photos.

Open and closes okay and hinges in good condition...little dusty on inside.
