Pack of 25 self drilling plasterboard anchors/ cavity fixings, supplied with screws. Anchor length 38mm, supplied with pan pozi head self tapping screws 35mm long. Needs no pre-drilling- simply screw the anchor into the plasterboard with a no.2 Pozi or Phillips cross slot screwdriver or bit, then use the self tapping screw to fix whatever you are fixing into the anchor. Ideal for picture frames, hooks, brackets, mirrors etc.
Anchor made from zinc alloy, screws made from bright zinc plated steel. If there is something behind the plasterboard which means the anchor won't go all the way in, the advantage of our type of fixing is that you can easily snap off the point section with a pair of pliers and still make a good solid fixing.
Instructions for use:- First screw the grey spiral fixing into the plasterboard using a Phillips no.2 screwdriver, until the flat ring is flush with the plasterboard surface. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN in case the fixing spins and loses its strength- this is best done by hand as it is very easy to overtighten if you use a cordless drill! Then fix whatever you are hanging with the screw provided. There is quite a bit of resistance to the screw- this is intentional, because if it went in easily, then whatever you were hanging would fall off just as easily! To avoid spinning the fixing in the plasterboard, go slowly and carefully, pressing down hard on the screw head so that the fixing cannot spin.
