Up for auction is a Heusbach Koppelsdorf Bisque Head Doll with Composition Body, #250-9. She measures 29” tall.

 

The doll has a socket head with sleep eyes, feather brows, long lashes, open mouth with four teeth, rouge cheeks and a dimple. She wears a sandy-colored mohair wig.

 

On her neck: Heubach Koppelsdorf 250-9. The word “Germany” is written on the doll’s back.


The jointed doll has socket/ball jointed knees and elbows. Her cords are clean and strong and she seems to have been re-strung. Parts of her composition body look as if they’ve been re-touched.



She has some marks on the right side of her face and on her cheek. There is glue on her ear and the back of her neck.


She wears a pink bow in her hair and cream fabric shoes, one of which is missing its buckle.

Please note: After examining the doll's head closer, I see that there is a slight scratch on her right forehead and light coloring near her eyebrow. I cannot add any photos per eBay's rules, but you can see both in the photo with her eyes shut and the montage of photos showing marks on her face. The scratch extends to her hairline.

This is a slight scratch only. It is not a crack and the doll's forehead has not been repaired.

Also, on the back of her head are hardened glue and pieces of the lining on the wig that were left when I removed the glued wig to shoot photos of the inside of her head.
