Bought this one year ago to be my "away from home" system.  Performed exceptionally, great phono section.  Nelson Pass designed Stasis amp circuit.  I'm back home now and this needs to go somewhere to be used.  Includes remote control, very convenient. In very good condition, looks and sounds great!

Description:

The Nakamichi TA-2A is a high definition tuner amplifier which is known for its pure sound.  In the power section, the extraordinary STASIS circuit topology combined with high current capability results in ample output power and excellent speaker drive characteristics. Wonderful phono section & headphone amplifier. Defeatable Bass (20Hz), Treble (20kHz) & Loudness control. Heavy overbuilt transformer & soft-start power up. Pre-out/Main-In built during the pinnacle of Nakamichi audio refinement.

STASIS Development
Nelson Pass is a renown consumer electronics designer who was with Threshold when he designed the STASIS amp circuit. In the Nakamichi TA-2A, each power stage works separately, which means each is individually optimized, individually powered and sonically isolated for minimum interference. STASIS power amplification produces outstanding clean power, uniform impedance, inherent stability and tremendous current capability.

Pre-Amplifier Section
The pre-amplifier features Nakamichi's innovative Isolated Ground Principle for complete freedom from interference between various circuit stages and can be used as a separate accurate uncolored preamp.
