Antique Victorian Stained Glass Hall Lantern Old Gilt Brass c1900

Circa 1900.

Stunning Victorian old gold gilt brass stained glass hall lantern.

All original glass with bevelled diamond centre panels.

Comes with original wood ceiling rose and fitting screws.

This is a lantern with a good age of at least 120 years,so there are signs of wear.Most of the gold gilt has worn away and left in"as found" condition with a great aged patina and glass will need a clean...The glass is all good with no cracks/damage etc...though a couple of pieces have a little movement which is nothing major,but noted and is down to age and the nature of the materials used in the construction.The frame has odd dink,slight distortion and marks etc with an old small repair as shown in photo 12,which does not detract at all...

Looks superb in any period or contemporary setting.

Measures around 29" overall drop (top to bottom).But you could shorten with chain etc if desired.

The lantern measures 12.75" tall by 7.25"across/square.

(will require a light pendant etc).

All photos taken in good daylight and indoors.(40 watt single bulb used for indoor lit photos)...personally would use vintage style edison bulb.

Weighs 3.032 kilos unwrapped.

Has wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
