Exceptional antique grand tour cameo Brooch of Achilles - hero of the Trojan War who slayed Hector outside the gates of Troy.

This is a fine quality cameo skillfully carved by a master cameo carver.

It is simply claw set in it's original unmarked rose gold frame. Acid tests at 9ct. gold.

Breath taking quality, it dates from the early Victorian era, circa 1850.

This fine cameo comes from a fine antique collection of antique jewellery.

It measures 1.5 x 1.25 ins. Total weight is 10.4 gms.
