The ultimate collectors dream or players fantasy!!

You remember all those arena league prize cards, you know, the 6x9 oversized ones? We've all fantasized about making a play deck out of them, yeah, even you! The cards look great, everyone loves 'em, and there's always that one guy you play against who you wouldn't mind annihilating in a game or two with your oversized Chaos Orb...  you know what I'm talking about ..

The problem is, the cards are crazy hard to find these days... Well, when I saw these things popping up almost 20 years ago, I started collecting them, buying a few here or there, or having one or two thrown in to help sweeten a trade. Well, it got to the point where I actually COULD build a deck out of them. It's nothing you would construct for a tournament, but it actually won a few games. Friends of mine would even let me play a Chaos Orb, only once a night, but they'd still let it play (they'd get a kick out of seeing it drop too).

Anyway, my Magic (and life) priorities have changed and it's time to move on. What I have here is probably a once-in-a-lifetime buy, 151 (that's One Hundred Fifty One!) of these magnificent cards. Most collectors or players are unlikely to see such an offer on the table ever again at one time.

*) The Mox Emerald proxy was made by and given to me by a very thoughtful friend. Not the best quality proxy (nor an "official" oversized card), but it's the thought that counts (and it's cool)!

Some cards are mint, most are near-mint/slightly played and some would be considered played. It may not be easy to see in the pictures, but to be transparent with you there is some minor humidity damage on the Earthquake and a crease on the Ivory Tower, but otherwise no other card would be considered in questionable or bad condition. There are some pictures attached that show the typical condition of the cards. ALL play cards from my deck were played in specialty cut comic book sleeves to preserve the condition of the cards as best as possible. There are 91 sleeves in total.

The non-land cards are all planned to ship in a sleeve. All the land cards are unsleeved at this time, though for shipping (unless you instruct otherwise) I will put them on the back side of a sleeved card. The cards will be padded with bubble wrap around their extremities and placed in a hard plastic file box. The file box will be wrapped and duct taped in a garbage bag to minimize any moisture penetration and all of that will be inside a normal cardboard box with more bubble wrap/packaging (to take up slack) for shipping.

You will also receive a special "starter deck" box (sized for any unsleeved cards) that I made back in the day. It won't win any art contests, but it does brandish a spartan red mana symbol, and a small view of Dan Frazier's "the lost Mox Diamond" right next to a picture of the Mox Diamond that was on the play card. That in and of itself is at least worth 3 cool points.

The price on the auction is high, but I spent some time looking around.  There are many places that are quick to price these cards, but very few that actually have any, let alone a collection of this magnitude. I anticipate that it would would take years to put something like this together. Some of these cards are VERY rare.

To avoid any misunderstanding, please be sure to realize that these are the giant 6x9 oversized cards. No card in this auction should be interpreted to be their normal play sized or tournament legal counterpart.

Due to the high collectability of the cards, shipment will via UPS only, with insurance. Signature will be required. Please be sure you can receive UPS and will be able to sign for the shipment prior to bidding. Shipping will be free to the buyer and will be with insurance.

I would like for all bidders to feel comfortable with their purchase, so please, email me with any questions you may have before bidding (especially if you would like to see any additional photos or have questions on some specific card).

I hope the eventual winner will get as much enjoyment out of these cards as I have. I've never seen anything but smiles when I whip this deck out for a casual game.

Good luck!
