Redmanol cherry amber pipe stems for jewelry

Bakelite Stem for Tobacco Pipe

 Excellent Condition

Description

Boxed up with the forgotten inventory of our old tobacco and pipe shop.  (see the description in the sidebar at the right)

This is not the ordinary small pipe stem -- it is HUGE!  one of a kind.

I have sold hundreds of pipe stems from the old inventory and none were this big.  In the last box I just unearthed this one and two others this are this big -- the other two are Baltic amber.

In excellent condition.  Nice yellow honey color.

Length is 2-3/4".  The round end is 11/16" across. Almost as wide as a US quarter

We also  have  Redmanol cherry amber Bakelite pipe stems and several other unique tobacco related items for the collector; a few huge Baltic amber stems, advertising displays with the stems still intact, bone stems, etc

We will combine shipping with our other auctions so additional items ship for free or nearly free.

And will hold your winnings from week to week -- saving you quite a lot on shipping costs.  Just do not pay until you are finished bidding so we can send one combined invoice. (On Buy It Now items, add them to your shopping cart and asked for an invoice.)

Also purchases, either as a single auction or combined auctions, totaling over $150 and shipped to the US will get FREE insurance.

These items are from a cigar making and tobacco shop that was established 1874 - or earlier.  B. Reinken and Sons of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Along with their signature hand rolled Havana cigars, they also sold pipes, other cigars, tobacco, and did pipe repairs.

The store was closed in 1971 and these vintage items have been stored until now.

We have many other unique antique tobacco collectables up for auction and will combine shipping. Click here to check our other items.

And ---  will be adding more tobacco related items in the coming weeks so you may want to add us to your favorites list by clicking here.

Shipping and Insurance

We will combine shipments (size allowing) for purchases complete within 7 days.  Just let us know if you are bidding on auctions closing after this one so we can put a hold on boxing your purchase.

Domestic Shipping

Free insurance for domestic shipments over $150.  (coverage up to $1000 per package)

International Shipping

Because ebay does not recognize the US Customs Form as a valid tracking number and because insurance is not available on international shipments sent by First Class mail we have had to revise our shipping policy.

1.International Buyers will still have the choice of paying for either First Class or Priority postage.

2.  If the Buyer selects Priority postage we will provide FREE INSURANCE to offset the higher postage costs.

3.  If the Buyer selects First Class postage (i.e., no insurance) other conditions apply.  PLEASE READ THE CHECKOUT AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS.--  BY BIDDING ON THIS ITEM INTERNATIONAL BUYERS AGREE TO THE CHECKOUT AND SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS.

We regret having to add item 3,  but it seems that is the only way to protect ourselves from less than honest Buyers or delays in customs without having to make Priority mail mandatory.

Taxes

Buyer shall be responsible for submitting any required sales taxes, import tax or duty.

Payment

PayPal (cash or credit card) or other approved method.

No Personal Checks please - and U.S. funds only . Payment must be received in 7 day of close of sale.

Returns

I try to point out the worst aspects of each piece so returns are only accepted if I was mistaken on the materials or dimensions  of the item.  Buyer must notify us within 14 days of receipt of the item if they wish to return it.

Returns are not accepted for broken items.  Reviews indicate our items are well packaged.  On the rare chance an item is broken in shipment,  insurance has either been provided free or was the Buyer's option.   (Sorry, this is because a Buyer has broken the item himself and then returned it.)
