Antique French Carved Gilt Wood Gesso Cherub Putti Wall Mirror.

Measures at longest dimensions 34"by 25".

Actual mirror measures around 10" by 7.5".

A stunning carved wood/gesso figural antique French/Italian? wall mirror.

It is decorated in a Rococo style of Louis XV with foliate scrolls,shells,fruit bearing vines,grotesque mask and flanked either side by Putti.

The mirror is in good condition...the actual mirror looks to have been replaced.There are some old repairs to the back(still very stable)rubbing,odd cracking to gesso,touch up etc all clearly shown in photos.
It is quite bright in appearence,but somewhat shabby and worn.

But as the photos show (taken inside and outside) it displays exceptionally well and nothing mentioned detracts from this very exquisite mirror.

It is in wonderful condition for its great age,which i believe is the late 1800's.

Weighs around 7 kilos!!!
