Very good condition Centon K100 35mm film camera fitted with a Centon MC Auto Zoom f4-5.6 70-210mm lens. 

Centon K100 camera in clean condition with no dings or dents & just minor age related wear. The camera is not film tested. I have fitted batteries (2x LR44 not included in this auction but easily available in most supermarkets) and noted that the exposure meter appears to be working correctly. The exposure indicator leds, visible in the viewfinder, react to varying lighting conditions showing over/under exposure. The shutter winds and fires OK & the speeds sound appropriate. The camera has the very popular Pentax PK bayonet mount and there are many "PK" mount lenses available on eBay etc. to fit this camera.

According to "camerapedia" - "Centon is a Chinese camera, lens and accessory brand. Centon cameras are mostly clones of older Japanese models - perhaps using the original, obsolete tooling - but in newer materials. In the UK Centon was the name given to cameras and accessories sold by Jessops. The K100 has similarities to many other models as well as a number of shared parts. Other models include Yashica FX-3, Nikon FM-10 and the Olympus OM2000 but there were many others".

Best to read the manual as I found the exposure meter a bit fiddly!

There is very little wear to the Centon MC (multi coated) Auto Zoom 1:4.0-5.6 f=70-210mm lens barrel. The iris operates very snappily. The optics have some dust as is common with older lenses and two small fungus spots. The "one touch" focusing and zooming ring operates smoothly with a slight rubbing sound when focusing at the 70mm setting. Positive click stopped lens diaphragm setting ring. Filter size is 52mm. A non original front lens cap (with some wear marks) has been added & is included.

The lens has been tested on my Panasonic Lumix G2. See photos 7 to 11 alternating at the 70mm & 210mm settings - good sharp results. The final photo was taken with the Lumix 14-45mm kit lens at its maximum focal length to demonstrate the possibilities of the Centon lens. The fungus has no obvious detrimental effect on photos taken with the lens. The Lumix G2 camera, kit lens and PK to M4/3 adapter are not included in this auction. 

The lens has the popular Pentax PK bayonet mount and can be adapted to fit modern DSLR or Micro 4/3rds cameras with an adapter (not included). Please contact me if you need assistance to search for a suitable adapter in order to use the lens on a DSLR. Please note this is a "KR" lens and it's not advisable to use it directly on a modern Pentax DSLR.

In view of problems experienced with eBay's Global Shipping Programme and damage sustained to cameras sent using their system with multiple carriers unable to read and understand "FRAGILE" I will not send this camera through that system!
