Antique Victorian Neoclassical Silver Plated Oil Lamp with Etched Pink/Peach Etched Shade

Circa 1900.

Superb late Victorian silver plated oil lamp with stunning etched shade.Supported by three fluted columns with trojan horse type finial on top of each in tripod form going down to scroll floral decoration with lion paw feet.

The burner is a Duplex silver plated twin burner including extinguisher with twin thumb wheels embossed "Duplex made in England".

The chimney is original mouth blown glass of ovoid form in good condition with no damage.

The shade is a heavily etched frosted shade in very good condition apart from a small chip on the gallery fitting rim..which is not seen when in position...no other chips,cracks etc.

 
Condition is overall very good.The lamp is fully working.The base has a fixed font which is free from damage though has wear and tear,tarnishing and some minor wear of plating here and there all commensurate with age and use.

 Measures 25.5"tall to top of chimney.

Font/reservoir (horse head to horse head) measures  6.5"across at widest point.

An absolute superb addition to any collection that

will illuminate superbly in any period,contemporary setting.

Has wear and tear,marks,stains,odd little dink etc commensurate with age and over 110 years of use...Nothing major,but noted.

Weighs 2.548 kilos unwrapped (minus a little for fuel).
