For 2002-2006 MINI Cooper S (R53), a complete ignition upgrade to complement the addition of a 15% or 17% supercharger reduction pulley. Includes a direct replacement coil, NGK Plugs and 8.5mm superconductor plug wires designed with improved materials and windings to produce a stronger output. More spark = more power! The NGK plugs are one-step colder than stock to take advantage of increased pressure and temperatures from the addition of the upgraded ignition components and use of a reduction supercharger pulley (sold separately).
Coilpack (MSD 8239):
This improved spark helps burn the fuel mixture more efficiently, resulting in a smooth idle and improved midrange RPM power
The coil is designed to deliver a strong spark and will connect to factory wiring
The MSD coil features flat terminals, please check your current coilpack before ordering
May require 4 bolts (M6, 60mm, 1.0 thread) and washers (not included). Reuse the rubber spacers from the stock unit.
