Offered a J Paul Eaton BIG Pen and Ink Drawing Entitled "Balloon" Original and Signed, Chicago Artist, Matted & Framed - Superb Work! A brilliant, vibrantly colorful original pen and ink drawing with acrylic fill colors, from noted and collected artist J. Paul Eaton of Chicago IL, USA. This piece entitled "Balloon" is of a Victorian style home aloft with a hot air balloon lifting it into the sky over an entire village below, and a porch full of people as passengers!! It has been framed in a 14" x 26 1/2" attractive gold flake effect wood frame with an image size opening of 9" wide by 21" long. It is stunning and is certainly one of the largest of his works to be offered for sale recently according to research done on the item.

Other amazing features include the detailed biographical artist profile letter on the reverse side that date the picture to the 70's. The unique letter not only gives you a list of the artist's credits, and glimpse into the artist's philosophy and temperament, but also includes two more illustrations by Eaton that most assuredly adds additional value to the piece. Mr. Eaton says of his work that the "Stress is on architectural detail, often using exaggeration with an intent of humor." This can be seen most definitely in the wonderful up, up, and away - floating creation captured here. This work should be considered by collectors of not only architecture, but also transportation, pen and ink art, and Midwest American artists.

Condition: The artwork and the frame are both in superior/excellent condition. The matt has some small, slight (almost imperceptible) warping at the bottom left side (see photos). The work is in "ready to hang" condition and will be an absolutely amazing, charming addition to anyone's gallery or collection. Do not miss the chance to own this one!!

NOTE: There is an additional signature on the back which is believed to be the previous owner; the famous elk hunter, controversial outdoorsman Jim Zumbo!! This signature has not been authenticated but when compared to Zumbo's line of signature gear it has many similarities (please see photo). The "Jim S Zumbo" signature is in blue ink and is still very legible.

Please ask, and I will gladly answer any questions to the very best of my ability.

Thank you so much for shopping at Little Vintage Annie's!
