This 2000 - $20 Bluenose (with Hologram cameo) coin is a beautifully struck silver coin from the 12 coin Transportation series. The Royal Canadian mint struck this set of coins to celebrate Canadian achievements in transportation. This coin was minted in 2000 to commemorate the famous Bluenose sailing ship. The hologram inset on the reverse of this coin is very attractive. I have taken photos in natural light to show a POSSIBLE perception of the coin. Note that how we perceive a hologram depends ENTIRELY on the angle and the quality of the light you see them at. Therefore how you will perceive your coins depend on where you view them and what the light is like.

This coin is minted in sterling silver and is 38 mm in diameter and weighs 31.03 grams. The reverse shows the Bluenose ship and a small inset hologram.. The obverse of the coin carries the proof finish image of the Queen (by Dora de Pedery-Hunt) against a mirror background. The encapsulated coin is set into a charcoal coloured anodized aluminum metal display case which has an RCM logo on it. There is a uniquely numbered certificate of authenticity included. The metal display case is surrounded by a cardboard box for protection.
