Here we have, in the blue and tan colourway a small top pocket square or hankie  measuring 11 inches square that was printed using madder dyes by David Evans for Liberty of London .Evans were one of the very few silk printers with the know-how to use madder dyes

The design printed on this hankie is the famous Art Nouveau  pattern Ianthe by Arthur Silver which has become almost as well known as Hera at Liberty .This design appears on many and varied products on sale in Libertys.

This square is somewhat smaller than is usual for a pocket square but is perfect to arrange peeking out of the top pocket of  a suit . It is NOT big enough to wear kerchief style .
