This is a very retro NOS vintage jump hour watch. Jump hour watches have been around for along time and as watches were transitioning from mechanical wound to digital the popularity of these unusual watches grew. This is a mechanical watch that was designed to mimic the digital read watches of the early 70's. This was an attempt by watch manufacturers ( Like: Sicura, Tissot, Bulova, Vulcain, Swatch, Fossil, Breitling, Hamilton, Timex, Amida, Rolex, Omega, Rado, Seiko, JAZ, Elgin, Tiffany & Co. , as well as many others) to boost sales during this transition period. As the minutes rotate around & reaches noon, the hour changes. The hour wheel will "jump" to the next number in line. You read the time straight across like a LED watch. True vintage jump hour watches will hold the hour wheel until it turns over past noon versus slowly rotating as the minute wheel does. This is done by complex springs & gears within the watch. A true piece of art on your wrist! It still has to be wound daily to maintain time & will never need a battery to run.

This watch was sold by a company known as Korvettes, was an American chain of discount department stores, founded in 1948 in New York City. It was one of the first department stores to challenge the suggested retail price provisions of anti-discounting statutes. Founded by World War II veteran Eugene Ferkauf and his friend, Joe Zwillenberg, E.J. Korvette did much to define the idea of a discount department store. The company failed to properly manage its business success, which led to decline and its 1980 bankruptcy and closure.

This is a New Old Stock time piece. It has the original case, paperwork, band, and anything it would have come with when purchased. Looks like its never been worn and not often do you see such a fine timepiece offered in perfect condition with all the original packaging and information. This watch offers a quality 17 jewel movement that has been serviced by a professional watchmaker ($150 service). It also comes with a new custom black leather watch band for daily wear. Everything functions as it should & ready to wear. I have ran this watch for 24 hours & it is keeping great time. Keep in mind that mechanical watches do not have the accuracy of a quartz watch & can vary a couple minutes daily. It is in mint shape for being over 40 years old. The crystal & case have been polished. There are no signs of major scratches, dents, or cracks on the watch case or crystal. The pictures are the best source of details.

I only ship to countries enrolled in eBay's Global Shipping Program. This program helps guarantee the product for both the customer and seller. If you can purchase from me your country is most likely enrolled within the global shipping program. Additional fees that generate during checkout are created from the EBay global shipping. These charges may include: shipping, tariffs, taxes, import fees etc... I am not privy to the details of how EBay assesses these charges or have control as to how much they charge. I cannot adjust these charges nor will I adjust pricing to pay for these charges. These fees are the international buyers responsibility. I reserve the right to choose the final carrier and method of shipping from my location in Arizona to Kentucky (EBay's central shipping location).

I WILL combine shipping if there is more than one item purchased. The Buyer MUST contact me within 1 day of the first purchase to combine shipping and I will allow up to 5 days to make all purchases before sending an adjusted invoice. If the buyer makes no or delayed contact I cannot guarantee combined shipping as the product may have already been shipped.

With the world's rapidly changing ecosystem I make every effort to do my part and recycle. This may include envelopes, boxes, and packing material. There is a nominal handling fee associated with shipping for packing materials (it's factored in with the total cost of shipping). I also do my best to be green, not just for my own family but for the generations to come.

REFUNDS AND RETURNS:

After receiving the item, the buyer may start a return within 30 days. If a watch was purchased, the refund will be given as money back, after the watch has been verified as complete and original condition as in the listing. If the watch returns not in the same condition as listed or damaged by water it will be shipped back to the customer & no refund will be given. It is the customers responsibility to pay for shipping, and a restocking fee of 20% unless the order is damaged or erroneous. We require a photo of the damaged package and item to be messaged to us in order to issue a full refund (no restocking fee). This message will need to be sent within 2 days of receiving the item to be considered damaged. The damaged or erroneous item will need to be shipped back at the buyers expense but will incur no restocking fee.
