At the time of this listing I am doing this in a hotel room in Columbus, Ohio. I am attending the Robert TONNER 25th Anniversary Convention. It's my first time doing this con but I figured that with the amazing dolls he does plus the fact that it's the 25th plus the fact that he is re-introducing his collaboration with Mary Engelbreit that this was a con that I needed to attend. I'm so glad I did.
Apologies for 2 things!--- one is the lighting in my room and the other is that the photos that I took of the display in the sales room are coming out sideways! I know how to fix this on my desk top computer at home and will do so when I get home. But for the weekend I'm afraid those photos will be sideways.
I was very surprised to learn we were getting a full size doll on opening night of the event weekend. But they were all at our place settings wrapped in gorgeous heavy silver paper that you see folded in one of the photos. It was too pretty to throw away and will be included folded in with this purchase.
It's very interesting that the title of the doll, "Making a Splash" is on the box but the certificate says DeDe Basic Blonde. I think they had last minute issues to resolve and didn't quite get there. So I'm not sure what the final name is but it is DeDe in a swimsuit and this was made exclusively for the con attendees. In fact it is not for sale in the Con store.
This was an edition of 150. There were 150 blondes and 150 brunette to cover all attendees. This is for the blonde doll and the box says she is "ice blonde". She is a vinyl doll. AND SHE HAS BEEN SIGNED BY ROBERT TONNER.
This doll has never been used or displayed or removed from the box.
