100% Original WW2 German Elite Helmet Cover, Rockers and Pins, Elite Blurred Edge Camouflage!

Very Few Original Helmet Covers, like this one are for sale. I was lucky enough to find this Beautiful Helmet Cover and purchased from a fellow collector. He has an Extensive WW2 German collection and was very reluctant, but sold me the cover.

I paid a fair price and I am only asking what I have invested in the cover. I decided to pass it on to the Next Collector, as I am unable to press the pins. This cover was in the process of repair when I purchased it and it is still unfinished.... If this cover was complete, it would be listed, as all of the other Original Covers you will find for sale, Double my asking price.

All of the original pieces are there, to complete the cover, to its original state and are included in this sale. The Cover, Rocker clips, Springs and retaining pins. The rocker clips are made of Aluminum and still retain some of the original Black Plate. Please see the photos.

The Aluminum Rocker Clips and Steel Springs were from a dig Site in Russia. Anyone who has been able to see in person, Original Rocker Clips and Springs, or has the Extensive photographic evidence from, Mr. Beavers Elite Camouflage Books, will know that these are excellent original examples. The only way to acquire these pieces, is through excavation of former Battle sites. Many items, are now being sold that have been excavated.

The Retaining Pins are also Aluminum, they do have allot of rust staining on them, but they are Original and in great shape to use. Extremely hard to find in unused condition!. The Pins came from a Collector in Germany, who had the pins in his collection. They are 100% Original, I am unsure if anyone has ever seen, an unused set. Someone once asked me, if the Pins are stained with rust, on purpose,"? to make them look old." ? And of course the answer is NO. The pins, from what I Understand were sitting in a drawer of misc. items, some that were rusty. This collector had no use for these items and threw all of his junk items, in this drawer. Over time everything gets stained with rust. Thats how these pins were stored.

There is 1 rocker clip, that is already installed, the pin needs to be just a little more pressed in, once this is done, the Head of the pin will assume its correct shape. The Steel Springs are original, they are already in the cover, all 3 of them are the same, identical.

Attached to the springs is a white thread, so the spring can be pulled down for the attachment of the Rocker clips. please see the photos. I cannot express how Rare and Uncommon it is, to have the opportunity to have all of these pieces, to complete an Original Elite Combat Helmet Cover.!!

Please compare what ever you need to, All of these Parts are Original to WW2. The Cover Cotton Material is Awesome, once you have an Original piece in your hands, you can tell in an instant, when you grab on to a fake one.

Why is it in Pieces? Who knows! In my Humble opinion, I Agree with one of the Most Knowledgeably Known for his Life time Effort of study, of Elite Uniforms Mr. Beaver. He has written many books on the subject and is the Best.

Most collectors use his books for a great teaching tool on Original Elite Material items. His books on the Combat Elite Camouflage Uniforms are a Must read, for any Collector. He discusses how the US Military, when in Europe during WW2 was astonished with the different types and materials of the German Heer and Elite Camouflage. The U.S. Military, Searched for any Camouflage items they could find, so they could study them. In the hopes that one day, they could use the same Technology to make a similar type of there own.

And that is exactly what they did. Look at todays U.S. Military Camouflage, it is Based on the WW2 German style Camo. Also in the Books, Mr. Beaver discusses how the US troops would often find many, Unfinished pieces of Camouflage uniform clothing, as the Combat Elite, had much of its Camouflage clothing made in the field.

Traveling, Small companies of Taylors, would go from Unit to Unit, fixing, repairing and making Uniform items for the Soldiers. This is a known Fact. This Blurred edge Cover, is much like one of Mr. Beavers covers in his book, as this cover doesn't have the extra stitching in the front of the visor, which is indicative of the covers made in the field.

 This cover in the photos above, is on a size 66 shell. Once the cover is finished, the cover will fit the helmet more uniformly as the springs will pull the cover where it is supposed to, for a firm fit.. So, perhaps it was unfinished? Perhaps some idiot took it apart, who knows. What I do know, its all 100% Original Materials. I checked the cover with a Very Heavy UV light and also performed the Burn test, everything is correct, No Synthetics.

On top of that, you can see plainly, that all of this is original. So, be assured, this Rare piece of Elite Uniform, is a Good one. I ship USPS priority mail, so you will receive the cover with in 2 -3 days.

Once you receive the Cover, I always give 5 days for inspection. This way you will have the time, in hand to make a good decision. If you choose to return it for any reason, let me know within that 5 days time of inspection.
