For your consideration is an "AE-1" Model 35mm SLR Film Camera Body Only, by CANON, Made in Japan. SN: 2181215. This film camera uses 35mm film and accepts the Canon 'FD' bayonet mount manual focus SLR film camera lenses.

This camera is clean and in very good cosmetic condition overall with light scratches/rubs from use noted. There are rubs from strap wear and light superficial scratches on bottom base plate.

Battery compartment is clean without corrosion and battery is not included. Battery type is (1x) PX-28A, 4LR44, A544, or equivalent.

I installed a fresh battery into the camera and the shutter button fires at all speed settings although accuracy cannot be warranted. Shutter speeds sound right to the untrained ear and this body does not have the all-too familiar squeak that often plagues this model. Film winder, counter, and flash hot-shoe is working. Viewfinder has light fungus growth, but it does not appear to interfere with viewing camera subject.

Light meter is working but accuracy cannot be verified. Mirror pad and light seals are worn and should be replaced. Film was threaded and manually wound through the camera, but was not processed. It is possible that additional maintenance or repairs may be required to have a fully functioning camera.

This is a nice 35mm SLR film camera that is also an excellent choice for the vintage enthusiast or collector.
