A truly beautiful 1960’s Aermacchi Ala Verde

 

A rare opportunity to own a classic Café Racer. This motorcycle was left to me by my grandfather a couple of years ago. I had dreams of passing my test, riding it, showing it and generally appreciating its historic value and aesthetic appeal. The motorcycle was supposedly capable of doing over 100mph straight out of the factory which made it a very sought after machine in its day. Coupled with the head turning style it is no wonder that they have held their value so well.

It is a really stunning example as you can see from the pictures. I am not exaggerating when I state that if I was allowed, I would have this in the house. It is a work of art in my opinion.

 

Ala Verdes are generally from £4000.00 to over £6500.00 right now. I am opening the bidding here at only £2800.00 because, sadly, it has to go. You may even get a real bargain if you are lucky!

I have more information in addition to the above

 

• ·       We have 52 watchers and going up so please bid early to avoid potential disappointment.
• ·       The motorcycle is 250cc.
• ·       It has matching engine and frame numbers.
• ·     Brakes, cables clutch are in good working order. It goes in gear etc. This bike ran fine when my grandad had it, nothing’s changed so it will work again but I am just not qualified, confident or competent enough to attempt anything with such a precious classic. This is a specialist bike for a classic bike enthusiast and not someone like me who hasn’t touched a bike since the 90’s and that was a mere RD50 😊
