For your consideration. A beautifully designed Chinese YiXing tea pot, report ably from the republican period (1910-1920.) Nice art deco look in a desirable light wood or  sand stone color. One side features calligraphy incised by hand, probably reciting a poem. The other side is incised by hand, showing flowers that look to be peonies.
The base of the Tea pot shows a makers mark, also shown on the underside of the closure. 5 7/16 inches tall, 2 5/8 inches wide. rectangular shape. Wonderfully sculptured, thin beveled  edges, A well made piece in a wonderful , scarce earth tone of color. Lovingly used by evidence of a thin very small nick on the base edge on the calligraphy side.  The tip of the squared off spout has some roughness . each corner of the closure has a small nick. All the nicks are very small showing use through the years. No other condition issues, no cracks. A very nice early 20th century Chinese Tea pot offered with out reserve. Thanks
