Dragon Armor M1A1HA Abrams with Mine Plough

Unit - 1st Platoon, B-Coy (B-Company) USMC Tank Bn. 
Theater - Mojave Desert 1996
Markings - Light tan and tactical "arrow" markings (for B-Company) on front and rear side hull. Also "Crater Magnet" written on barrel evacuator. There is also a black ring on the gun for 1st Platoon. 
"Fire-Breathing Dragons" - the Mine Clearing Blade was used to breach minefields during routine operations. It is electrically operated and can clear surface or buried mines up to six feet in front of the tank's path without the aid of supporting forces or additional equipment. The track-width mine ploughs can clear 42 inches on each side of a path as well as magnetic-fused mines between them with the Improved Dogbone Assembly. In loose sand, the ploughs can operate at a rate of 30 km/h. 
Kit includes detachable machine guns as well as front plough (attached). 
Model - The M1A1HA was a variant of the M1A1 that had upgraded armor (depleted uranium) starting in October 1988 and the "HA" stood for Heavy Armor. This was equipped with DWFK (deep water fording kit) and TWMP (track width mine plough). 
Mojave Desert - home of the Fort Irwin National Training Center where rotating divisions trained against OPFOR (Opposing Force) which ran 15 training rotations a year against armored brigades from all over the US. The command centers of the large-scale battles were computerized in a central command post where each battle was recorded and analyzed.
