You are bidding on a Black Plush DAKIN Cat from 1980.  This cat is over 35 years old and is still in LIKE-NEW Condition!  Someone took exceptional care of this Plush!  The Black Plush Fur still looks SHINY NEW!!  In a couple of the pictures, it looks like the plush fur has dusts specks all over it.  NOT DUST!!  That is the fur shining in the flash of the camera! I've been doing this 'picking' thing for quite a while now and this is the nicest plush animal of this age that I have ever come across!  It has the ORIGINAL 3 TAGS!  The first one is the Hang Tag.  It has a couple bent corners, but for its age, it looks good!  Front Says:  Silvia and Silvan, Copyright 1980 Japan Artists Society, Inc.  The Back of the tag says: #31-0154 SILVAN, Hand crafted.  All New Materials. Non-Allergenic.  To Clean:  We recommend using warm water. mild soap with a sponge or cloth, cleaning as soiling occurs.  When dry, brush to restore appearance of plush.  Safety and quality tested.  For ages 3 and up.  R Dakin & CO.  San Francisco, CA.  Product of Korea.

The second tag is a Blue Plastic Button with a Gold Bear on it that says, 'DAKIN'.  There is nothing on the back.  This blue button hangs under the bow tie on the front of the cat.

The last original tag is the Sewn-on Butt Tag.  It says the same info as above and it has the number 15 in a circle.  It also says: Pa. Reg. No. 118.  All new Materials.  Contents:  Shredded Clippings.

This cat is not only vintage and in excellent condition - it is entirely too cute!  This might be the original GRUMPY CAT!  You're gonna love it!!  Please ask if you have questions!

Shipping Charges:  I try to be as fair as I can on shipping costs.  Nothing irks me more than ordering something and being charged an over-inflated shipping rate!  You will be charged what it costs me to ship the item, plus a little extra to help cover the cost of packing supplies.  I use a lot of bubble wrap, packing material, tape, paper and ink!  I also use Depends, Diapers, and Doggie Pee Pads!  (I only use the clean ones!)  The charge is usually between .25 and $1.00 – depending on how much it takes to pack a particular item.  I will never charge you $12.00 for an item that cost $6.00 to mail!!!  And if I do way over estimate on the shipping cost, I refund the excess!

Return Policy:  I try to describe items in detail with as much information as I can provide.  Plus I try to take as many pictures as I can to capture the item accurately.  I am not the best photographer in the world – especially when it comes to using the flash.  Please look the pictures over and if you have questions, ask!  If you read the description and check out the pictures but when the item gets to you, it just isn’t what you thought it was, yes, you can send it back!  You must cover the return postage and the original postage will not be refunded.  I will refund the cost of the item minus a 20% handling fee..  This helps to make the transaction not a complete loss for me.  My time is free….but gas and supplies cost money!

READ THIS, TOO!  If you bid on something and win and then decide not to pay – you have 2 options:

OPTION 1:  You email me WITHIN 3 DAYS and say you made a mistake and really shouldn’t have bid on the item and you aren’t going to be able to pay.  I say okay.  I file with ebay to get my fees credited back to my account.  I relist the item.  Nothing happens to you.  And we’re both happy!

OPTION 2: You don’t contact me.  You don’t answer my emails.  And you pretend I don’t exist.  I open a NON-PAYING BIDDER case against you.  I get my fees credited back.  I relist the item.  And you get a nasty black mark against you.  I’m happy…..you?  Not so much!

About me:  I am just a little old lady who loves wild, weird, wacky and wonderful things.  There are a lot of wonderful items out there that still have some use that would otherwise end up in a landfill!    I hit auctions, estate sales, yards sales and thrift stores looking for items that need to be in someone’s home instead of the dump!!!  KEEP IN MIND THAT I am NOT an expert about anything!  I repeat…I AM NOT AN EXPERT!!  I know a little about a lot of things and a lot about practically nothing!  If I find an interesting item and it’s labeled, I do an internet search to learn what I can about that item.  If it’s not labeled….your guess would be as good as mine!  Very often, you know more about the item than I do!  If I miss an important detail in my description, please, please let me know!  I do this because I am passionate about old and new, wild and wonderful, fun and fancy, and just plain cool things!  If someone or someplace is getting rid of an item I find interesting, I figure someone else out there will love it, too!  Just trying to find good homes for displaced items – so if you have questions, PLEASE ASK!!
