A RARE matching pair of antique Art Deco Lightolier Slip Shades, to use in sconces or a two-light fixture. The pale amber with a grayish-green hue in this shade is a rare find, as they are usually found in a more orangish- amber and occasionally I've seen them in rose.

The pair of shades are guaranteed from the 1930's and are in excellent original condition for their age. The baked-on painted finish shades do not have any scuffs, chips, cracks or white spots. I know my slip shades and these are as nice as they come!

The inside edge has a few flea bites, but nothing I could even picture. But please look closely at the pictures, as they are part of this description, and be your own judge.

I photographed them in various locations around the house, so you could get a better idea of the lovely neutral color. Notice that in one picture I held a shade up to the natural light.

This pair of shades would be exquisite in an original Lightolier burnished gold finished fixture frame or sconce backs. The finish on the outside of the shades is perfectly smooth and satin feeling... and the color is soft and mellow, with or without being lit.

(I actually have the longer version 3-light fixture with 3 rose shades and a flush version 2-light fixture with a pair of amber shades, and a pair of matching sconces with amber shades that I will be listing soon).

I'm offering this pair of shades as SHADES ONLY. The TWO slip shades are all that's included in this auction. The Buy It Now price is for TWO shades, not per shade. I will pack these for war because I've collected Art Deco slip shade chandeliers and lighting for two decades and I love it to pieces!! But now that I'm a Grandma several times over, I've faced the fact that I can't keep everything. For me, antique lighting is the highlight of any room.

I have a lifetime of experience with antiques and will ship with great care! Please email me with any questions in advance before bidding.
Thanks for your interest.
