Offered for sale is an excellent vintage and unpolished original condition Omega Ref. 145.022-69ST Speedmaster Cal. 861 Chronograph Pre-Moon Watch w/ stainless steel 42mm case. Please see all 12 photos. It has been thoroughly cleaned and CW21 serviced/overhauled by an Omega specialist. All functions perform flawlessly and it keeps very accurate time. Featured here with straight line script on the case back as opposed to the later circular script, it is among the very first executions of this watch and very few possess this early Pre-Moon caseback. The 32 million serial number denotes early 1969 production which corresponds to those models having been produced in January and February of 1969. This is a highly prized, sought after and very collectible Speedmaster. It is paired to an exceptionally rare and very correct original expanding 1039 Caterpillar bracelet w/ deployant clasp in stunning condition. This bracelet was an optional upgrade to this watch and expands at either side of the buckle, hence the name caterpillar. The case, case-back, original Omega logo crystal, dial and hands are very nice. This watch is in beautiful original condition w/ very nice metal quality. Clean matte black Tritium dial w/ printed outer minute track, original and clean luminous filled white baton hands and cream index markers, white sweep seconds and register hands. Original tachymetre bezel insert in very nice condition. Outstanding Omega 1039 expanding stainless steel bracelet in excellent to near mint condition w/ no stretch or distortion whatsoever and correct end links. No discoloration on dial. Original Omega logo crystal. Immaculate Omega Calibre 861 manual wind mechanical movement. It runs very reliably and very accurately. This is a superb, unpolished example of a fantastic watch and very sought after collectors piece. Adjustable bracelet fits up to a 7 1/2" inch wrist size comfortably.
