French Coral Marble & Ormolu Clock w/Garniture – 8 Day T/S – Runs
Take
a look at this absolutely stunning Coral marble and ormolu French clock with garniture
set. This clock is as original as they come and in excellent condition. I have
completely disassembled the entire clock, cleaned and polished every piece,
reassembled and tested it. It is running
and keeping very good time. The dial, glass, pendulum, and hands all appear
original. The key is old and could be original, but that’s only a guess.
The pendulum is REAL
MERCURY, not fake like you see in so many today.
It
is an eight-day time and strike, counting the hours and half-hour on a on a
nice sounding bell.
There
is no maker’s mark or name on the movement. However, all the numbers that mark
the various pieces match up.
The clock itself measures 12 ¾ inches by 16 ½ inches by 5 inches. There are two tiny flakes in the marble, but so small I couldn’t get them to show on the pictures.
This is a heavy clock and will require extra care in packaging. You can anticipate slightly higher than average shipping charges.
