One of the founders of the East Africa Professional Hunters’ Association, Anderson recalls numerous elephant hunting adventures in Somaliland, the Sudan and in East Africa’s Northern Frontier. There is also an interesting trek with James Sutherland in Tanganyika after elephant, and additional safaris with George Rushby. Accounts of leopard and lion hunting are also included, the latter cat mangling Anderson’s leg during one attack. The author died of pneumonia just prior to publication [Czech, African Big Game 2011, page 6]. Illustrated with photo plates.
