ANDROID 7 'NOUGAT' We pre-install the latest 2.0.4 (JUL-2017) Android 7 firmware on our Q10 Pro. This firmware is very stable and offers significant upgrades to picture quality, interface, and app compatibility. Q10 Pro has full Play Store pre-installed with access to all apps, allowing easy app installation. Pre-installed Chrome browser with Flash 11 and HTML5.

KODI + WRAPPER - ALL HARDWARE FEATURES IN KODI Any version of Kodi (including version 17) can be modified by an easy to install HiMedia patch (known as 'wrapper') giving 4K60 Ultra-HD, HDR10, 10bit colour, 7.1 HD-Audio, and 3D ISO support in Kodi. This is a feature unique to HiMedia Android boxes and allows you to pair Kodi's unrivalled media management with HiMedia's unrivalled format support and image quality. Kodi 16.1 + wrapper is pre-installed ready to go.

KODI HARDWARE SUPPORT Standard Android Kodi as downloaded from Play Store or the Kodi website has good support for Q10 Pro. Hardware decoding with HiMedia's unrivalled image quality and Imprex 2.0 image processing works for H.264/H.265/HEVC video up to 4K60. The only features missing with Kodi internal player compared to Kodi+wrapper are HD-Audio, frame-rate switching, and 3D ISO.

INCREDIBLE FORMAT SUPPORT Q10 Pro will play anything. The combination of Gigabit ethernet, 802.11AC wi-fi, and powerful Mali-720 GPU with HiMedia processing technology allows you to stream video at bitrates beyond anything conceivable even for the highest quality 4K60. Rates of 250Mbps+ (LAN) are achievable. Q10 Pro supports all HD-Audio formats. Dolby True-HD, Dolby True-HD ATMOS, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, 5.1/7.1 LPCM, DTS, and Dolby Digital AC3 are all supported for downmix and bitstream (passthrough) using either the built in HiMedia video player app or any version of Kodi with HiMedia wrapper. 192Khz 24bit LPCM multi channel (5.1/7.1) FLAC / ALAC can be passed raw via HDMI. Auto frame rate switching (match fps to HDMI output Hz - e.g. 23.976fps and 29.970fps) gives smooth playback of all video.
