Three Homecoming + Snow-Daze
Pinback pins
De La Salle High School
Minneapolis, MN
1971 & 1972
These three pins are in good condition.  The two large pins have some black spotting (please see photos).  This may be cleaned but we have not done so.

De La Salle was founded in 1898 in Minneapolis as a Catholic school for boys.  It became a college preparatory high school in the 1920s and turned co-ed in the 1970s.  During the 1950s De La Salle dominated high school sports in Minnesota and is still a powerful contender today.  It has also remained a highly respected preparatory school with the great majority of its alumni progressing to higher education.

The two large pins with white backgrounds measure 3.5" in diameter.  One celebrates Homecoming in 1971.  The other celebrates Sno-Daze in 1972.   Their markings show that they were made in St. Cloud, a city just north of the Twin Cities.

The smaller pin, the one with the blue background, measures about 3" in diameter.  It celebrates Sno-Daze in 1971.  It was manufactured by a The Midwest Badge Company, a Minneapolis firm.
