Praktica BX20 35mm SLR film camera with f1.8 Pentacon lens

It has aperture-priority metering (you select the aperture and the camera selects the speed) and metered manual mode. It has a periscope built in to the prism, so that you can see the selected aperture in the viewfinder.  The electronically controlled shutter speeds are accurate.

The metering is accurate.

The f1.8 50mm lens on the camera is well-known as being an excellent performer, capable of producing excellent images.

There is no fungus in the lens and the aperture blades are snappy.

The viewfinder is bright and clear and presents all the required information re shutter speed, etc. There are a few tiny dust specks in there which will, of course, have no impact on photos.

NOTE: The film counter no longer works or resets. I don't bother watching the counter anyway, I just shoot until the end of the roll.

ALSO: The rubber skin grip on one side of the back fell off and was lost a couple of years ago. I've replaced the rubber skin on the back door with leather from a blue cow.

Oh, and the battery-pulling tape is no longer screwed to the camera. The battery is easy to take out anyway.

Uses a readily available 4LR44 battery. None supplied.
