This is a Rollei 35S Rangefinder 35mm film camera. It has the Sonnar 40mm f2.8 lens.

Physical Condition:

The camera is in very nice condition with minor evidence of wear. There are two faint depressions on the top of the camera - one next to the meter window and the other in the corner by the advance lever - both are easy to miss. The lens and dials look nice. The wrist strap is the fine but the original case is functional but very rough.

Mechanical Condition:

The shutter speeds all appear and sound accurate although they have not been film tested. Shutter speeds on Rollei 35s can become inconsistent when not used on a regular basis but can typically be restored with use or lubrication. The light meter responds to light and has a modern 675 battery installed which seems to be a good substitute for the mercury cells that are no longer made. The meter works but has not been tested for accuracy.
