Hello my name is Michael Landrum and I live about 35 miles north of Houston, Texas. You are bidding on a running and driving custom built 1964 1/2 Mustang Coupe, production number 4501 out of the Dearborn Michigan. The car originally had a 6 cylinder with a three speed standard shift transmission and the standard interior package Poppy red paint with a black vinyl roof. This car was striped of everything but the electrical, the doors (complete w/ glass and trim), front and back glass, steering column, and the hood and trunk hinges, and then was stored in a warehouse, (under cover) until I purchased it in 2006 and has been garage kept since that time.  I spent the next 6 years collecting every part needed for the build. Remarkably the only rust on this car was the inner fender under the battery tray (already replaced), 1 small spot on the drivers door approximately 2 in x 4 in, 1 silver dollar size spot on the driver side rear wheel well, 1 spot on the driver side and 1 spot on the passenger side floor pans (as seen in the photos, the patch panels for the floor pans will be included in this auction). I have already replaced a section of the passenger side rear quarter panel, inner fender well that had been damaged due to the previous owner backing into another car and a section of the passenger side trunk floor where it is attached to the rear quarter panel. My intentions for this build was to create a full blown Nostalgia class race car that would be able to double as a daily driver. I started the build by installing a Ford 9 inc disc brake rear end (out of a 1977 Lincoln Versille) which I had rebuilt with a new set of 373 gears and an upgraded locker (Detroit) as well as all new brake brake components leaf spring bushings and shackle kit (I have not yet purchased the 1 inch rear sway bar). I then installed all new parts for the front suspension and brakes made for the 1974 Mustang with a v8 and front disc brakes and an upgraded 1 inch front sway bar as well asl 4 new high performance shocks . Next I purchased a set of 20 inch by 9 inch reproduction wheels for the 2004 Anniversary Edition Mustang. I then installed an adjustable brake proportional valve, a new dual diaphragm brake booster an a new master cylinder designed to fit the Cobra SVT and all new brake line kit ( however the line running to the rear brakes was designed for drum brakes and is not large enough to supply enough fluid needed for the rear disc brakes and will need to be replaced with a larger line) and finished with a new set of emergency brake cables. I then moved to the steering system and rather than purchase the VERY expensive power steering unit I installed a quick turn ratio, Saginaw style steering gear box upgrade complete with a new power steering pump and new hoses. Next I rebuilt and redesigned the Steering column to fit the new gear box from a kit that includes a redesigned steering column shaft that shortens the overall length of the column and incorporates a rag joint where the column shaft connects to the gear box. I then installed a new turn signal assembly and topped it off with a reproduction wood grain gt steering wheel and horn button assembly. Next I installed a new trunk lid, and a new reproduction, front driver side fender, a new GT front upper and lower valance and rock guard, a new GT grill and fog lamp kit (which I have not wired yet),  new head light assemblies with a new set of head light doors. Next came a new Gt rear valance (with the exhaust exiting through the valance) . I got lucky an found a used original 64 1/2 hood and passenger side front fender that were in exultant condition which have been installed. Next came a new fuel tank, fuel line kit, electric fuel pump ( for carbureted applications) a new fuel filler neck kit and a new reproduction GT gas cap. At this point I went to my local wrecking yard and purchased a used 5.0 HO, with 37800 miles on it, out of a 1994 Mustang GT. prior to installation I installed a new set of rod and main bearings that were .001 thousands of an inch thicker which brought the oil pressure up by nearly 7 psi., a new standard pressure hi volume oil pump, a 7 quart front sump oil pan, a new timing chain cover, a new roller timing chain and gear set, front sump oil dip stick, a Typhoon dual plane intake manifold and a remanufactured Eddlebrock 1406 carborator, a set of used ribbed valve covers with the words "Powered By Ford" written in raised lettering, and a new 175 amp alternator as well as a complete gasket set. I had the heads pressure checked (no problems were found) and resurfaced as little as possible.  I then purchased 2 Ford AOD 4 Speed Transmissions, 1 of which I just cleaned and rebuilt to put behind the used motor which would be used until I built a new supercharged 347 stroker motor using a set of ported and polished GT 40P heads and a set of JBA headers custom built to fit these heads when used in the 1964 1/2 - 1967 Mustang. The heads and headers as well as a full set of Crane Cams 1.6 : 1 ratio pedestal mount roller rockers, a full set of push rod guide plates, an additional Coyls double roller timing chain and gear set and a full gasket set. The cooling and heating system is all new as well (radiator, all of the hoses and clamps, water pump, heater core t- 2 cooling fans (already installed single speed fan between the engine and radiator and the other is a 2 speed fan and is mounted in front of the A/C condensing coil. the hi speed setting is for A/C and the low speed is for added cooling for the radiator).Bought and installed the brake peddle assembly for use with an automatic transmission, then bought new peddle rubbers with trim for the brake and accelerator. The exhaust is all new starting with a set of long tube 3 inch headers and 3 inch h - pipe tubing from the headers to the mufflers then 2 1/2 inch tail pipes  The other transmission has been built to a stage 2 performance build with a lot more of the BEST goodies thrown in for more performance enhancements such as a hi - rev governor which holds off shift change until higher RPM range is reached. My stroker build would have had around 500 hp So depending on your plans you may want to down grade back to a stock governor. I installed the performance transmission already but both transmissions are included in this auction. The A/C system is all new and has been installed and sealed but never charged with Freon (1- 34A), The reason for this is because the manifold lines have not been welded together yet but that will complete that part of this build.  The doors have been aligned and new rollers put on all but 2 of the window regulators but there are new rollers for them to. Included in this Auction is a Complete Acrylic Enamel Paint kit that includes 2 gallons of Hot Rod Black primer and 1 quart of Ford Performance White and 1 gallon of Super Jet Black, as well as all of the hardeners - reducers - strainers - and such. The interior took the longest to collect as many period correct used GT parts that were in as perfect a shape as possible. I purchased a new dash pad and the mounting hardware. Starting with the seats I first purchased a used set for the front and rear and then recovered them with new sport seat cushions that have higher bolsters and a set of Pony seat covers (black with white inserts). The instrument cluster gauges have been refaced and the amp meter has been replaced with a used part but has not been hooked up yet because the resister wire that drops the voltage to 5 volts has been cut out of the harness by the previous owner. My plan was to have Painless Wiring Systems build the harness based on what was needed for this particular build .I have purchased and installed a used working period correct rally gauge pack, I bought a used glove box door and under dash A/C unit (flushed the evaporator coil, replaced the expansion valve and blower motor), a new heater box, and new heater blower motor- not installed yet- cleaned and inspected the fresh air intake for rust but found none so I replaced the seals on both sides and purchased a clear cowl cover that will keep water from entering the box -not installed yet-, I got lucky and found a very nice used console with trim then installed a new ash tray in it. I bought and installed a new floor shifter unit made for a console. I purchased a Custom Auto Sound radio, a dual voice coil upgrade dash speaker (a right and left speaker in one) and purchased a new set of custom kick panels with a pair of pyle 6 inch speaker. I Planed on but have not yet purchased a pair of Kenw00 200 watt 6 x 9's and the amplifier and equalizer. I purchased and installed a new dome light kit including door buttons and wiring, a new set of deluxe interior door panels, all of the window and latch handles, a new pair of period correct sport mirrors and rear view mirror, a new set of sun visors with hardware, a new headliner, a complete carpet kit and period correct sound deadener, door scuff guards with a new pair of ford logos, door lock knob and trim kit, every rubber seal - gasket - bumper - plug - and splash shield - nut - bolt - screw - or clip that was needed for the entire build as well as every piece of trim and badging including the FORD lettering and trim for the hood plus 2 extra glove box Pony emblems and a set of vinyl covers for the rear inside quarter trim panels (for that special touch). Due to being limited to only 24 pictures I have tried to be as thorough as possible in explaining what has been done so far as well as all of the parts collected or bought. If you have any more questions or if you want to see more pictures you can call or text me at 936-446-7054 and I can send you the information. I have set the beginning price at $ 6,7000.00 and will not lower this amount as it does not even come close to the actual dollar amount spent just on the parts alone. Payment will only be accepted in the form of a cashiers check, bank draft, or cash and the vehicle and title will not be released to the buyer until such a time that receipt of payment has been confirmed. Please call only if you are actually considering bidding on this car. Thank You and good luck.
