Collection
I am always happy for items to be collected
at a mutually convenient collection time. Collected items must have been
pre-paid by cleared Paypal, or by cash (£s) on collection. Cheques or postal orders
will not be accepted for collected items.
Unless otherwise stated, collection is from
Northampton NN4, (close to M1 junctions 15 & 15A).
Postage
The postage quoted is for UK delivery only
and will include an allowance for packing. I am happy to combine items wherever
possible, to reduce postage cost.
Items are generally but not exclusively,
sent by MyHermes courier. Courier delivery is NOT
available to some postcodes including IM, HS, JE and ZE. Larger and very small items are
generally sent by Royal Mail or Parcelforce. MyHermes parcels may be tracked,
and receipts of Royal Mail posting are always obtained and filed.
If your item is urgent, or you require
insurance or tracking please let me know before purchase and I will advise
options and add the cost of upgrading to the invoice.
As feedback testifies, items are packed really
well. Items will have been packed in the condition that they appear in the
listing. All listing photographs are retained as proof of condition.
Postage outside of
the UK
The postage quoted on any listing is for the
UK only. Overseas buyers must check with me before bidding or buying to confirm
if I will post abroad and the cost involved.
Other carriers
In some circumstances I can arrange man and
van delivery of larger items to London, the Midlands and the South for an
agreed cash on delivery price. I do not arrange man and van courier service for
other areas. I am happy to work with the buyer if they wish to arrange and pay
for a courier of their own choice to collect items from Northampton NN4. We are
unable to pack larger items.

Photos are always of the actual item being
auctioned, unless otherwise detailed in the listing.
Descriptions
All items are available for viewing before
purchase by prior arrangement.
Any electrical items are sold as display
items only and will NOT have been tested for working order, completeness or for
electrical safety.
Any sizes or weights quoted are approximate.
As the majority of our items are vintage or used, the item may well have:
dents, dings, dust, rips, tears, holes, stains, scratches, chips, breaks, sharp
points, splinters, woodworm holes, rot, rust, corrosion, chips, crazing,
crackingor wear and tear etc. Some
surfaces may be lead or contain lead paint. Some items are washed, and some for
the sake of authenticity are left in original condition. Some items are
intended for display or prop use only – this will all be detailed in the
description. Gardenalia is brushed of lose soil but not washed. If I am aware
of, it will be in the description. However, I am not infallible and errors/oversights
can occur.If I have missed something out of the description, please just ask for
additional info. If you find my description to be inaccurate please contact me
and allow me to redress any issues, before leaving negative feedback.
Communication
All communication must be sent by eBay
messages.
Payment methods
I only accept cash (GBP £s) or cleared
Paypal for face-to-face collection. For shipped items I accept Paypal and
cheques (£s) and postal orders (£s) made payable to Victoria D’Hooghe. I do not
accept ‘open’ postal orders or cash through the post. No items will be dispatched
until cheques have cleared.
Ending auctions
I do not end auctions early so please don’t
ask.
If you miss an item and the item is still
available, please feel free to contact me and check if I am re-listing it – I
am often willing to re-list as ‘buy it now’.
Feedback
If you have a problem with any of my items,
please contact me before leaving negative feedback or less than a 5 star rating
and I will do my best to redress any problems.
Refunds
No refunds are made on items of clothing,
including hats and cosmetics. If you are unhappy with your purchase please
contact me within 2 days of receipt and I will do my best to resolve any
issues. For items lost in transit, no refunds will be made until I have
received a full written report from the buyer, detailing: item description,
price, date of purchase, method of payment and confirming that the item has not
been received. If an item has been damaged in transit please supply photos of
the packaging and the damage to the item, along with a written report.
Where an item is accurately listed but
returned, the buyer pays for postage both ways.
