BLU-RAY ISO FULL MENU Egreat A5 supports Blu-Ray (and DVD) menus in both the Egreat Android player and the pre-installed VidonXBMC. BDJ 1.0/1.2/2.0 all supported. Blu-Ray region switch is supported. Firmware 1.2.0.0 and later support UHD-BD ISOs with full menus.

EGREAT MEDIAPLAYER Egreat mediaplayer is integrated and provides a media browsing experience similar to dedicated media players from Dune, Zappiti, WDTV Live, Popcorn Hour etc. It supports full movie / TV info, thumbnails/posters, series/collections, library path management, subtitle/audio/ratio switch, Samba/NFS/uPnP.

INCREDIBLE FORMAT SUPPORT Egreat A5 will play anything. Fast Gigabit ethernet and the powerful HiSilicon chipset allow streaming rates above 250Mbs (more than anything currently conceivable). All HD-Audio formats are supported, including ATMOS, DTS:X, DTS-HD MA, and True-HD (downmix and passthrough). All video formats are supported including HEVC/H.265 4Kx2K at 60fps, 3D frame packing (ISO and MVC MKV), H.264 etc. Auto frame rate switching (match fps to HDMI output Hz - e.g. 23.976fps and 29.970fps) gives smooth playback of all video. All of this is available in both Egreat mediaplayer and VidonXBMC internal player.

EGUI 2.0 INTERFACE Egreat's interface has been streamlined to provide easy access to key media features. Features include screen saver, smart cooling fan adjustment (auto or high/low temp selection), 8 level LED brightness, LED display select, UI themes, comprehensive subtitle control, system deep colour, default video options, system default audio.

HDR (HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE) HDR delivers an image with wider dynamic colour range and deeper blacks. The result is a more immersive image, particularly with 4K content. Egreat A5 supports Bt.2020 10bit HDR10.

EXCELLENT FIRMWARE AND ONLINE TECHNICAL SUPPORT Egreat have maintained a steady flow of firmware updates since launch and the firmware is slick and highly polished. They have been responsive to customer feature requests. Example features added include LPCM RAW passthrough, Ultra-HD BD-ISO, and 3D depth adjustment. All firmware updates are OTA (over the air - via the internet). Support is provided via Egreat's English language technical support forum and our forum.

ANDROID 7 UPDATE - AUGUST 2017 Egreat A10 will receive an update to Android 7 in August 2017. This update will retain Egreat's excellent interface and stability whilst updating the system to the latest version of Android.

VIDONXBMC Pre-installed VidonXBMC 16.1 (enhanced Kodi 16.1) offers full hardware support integrated into Kodi. So you get HD-Audio passthrough, Blu-Ray ISO menus, 4K, and auto-framerate switching from Kodi internal player. Egreat A5 is supplied with a 35 year licence for VidonXBMC, giving 35 years of access to all features and updates. If you prefer, Egreat A5 also supports standard Kodi (including Kodi 17) with OMX hardware video decoding but without the additional VidonXBMC features.

VERSATILE COMPUTING DEVICE With the addition of a keyboard+mouse, Egreat A5 can be used as a fully functional home computer. Apps available from pre-installed Play Store include: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Polaris Office, Skype, ES File Explorer, and many Android games.
