This is a vintage technics direct drive turntable from 1981. I am the original purchaser/owner of this turntable, which I purchased new in 1981 at the base exchange while I was stationed at R.A.F. Lakenheath, England, when I served in the U.S. Air Force.
Made in Japan - Matushita Electronics Industrial Co., Ltd., Osaka, Japan.
Includes stylus/needle cartridge, power cord, grounding cord, 2 power cord adapters for non-USA power cord connections. In addition, a virtual PDF copy of the owners manual will be emailed to buyer upon completion of the sale.
I am not a professional and the condition is based upon my opinion. Gently used in excellent, working condition. There are visible signs of age and normal wear on the dust cover (lid) which has occurred from normal use. The original box and packaging all show visible signs of wear and age. Two of the Audio Insulators/springs are missing and the remaining two have cracks in the rubber that have occurred from normal aging which has deteriorated the rubber. Replacement (not included) Springs and Audio Insulators (feet) can be purchased from $10-$20 for a set of 4 via multiple websites including eBay. Vibrapod (not included) is also a good replacement isolator (feet) for the turntable and can be purchased either on eBay or Amazon for approximately $24 for a set of 4.
When the turntable was not in use, it was carefully stored in the original box along with the original packaging in order to protect and preserve the condition of the turntable. Please see pictures
