Vintage Merit Forged Steel Hatchet with Hickory Handle - Made in U.S.A. - No Reserve. It measures 14 1/2 inches long and weighs 1 lb 11 ounces. It's marked- 'Merit, Forged Steel". The handle is marked- 'Genuine Hickory". it's in good condition. It has some light surface pitting in spots. The hickory handle has a minor shallow chip to the butt end on the back side (see photos).
