This is the last Year the KH-2 Vintage was produced in the Custom Shop. After that they are labeled as Signature Series and are not anymore built by the Custom Shop team, but with lower quality woods and machines, like the standard Series at the same factory.
So this is your chance to get a real Custom Shop KH-2 Vintage with original hardshell Case. The Difference in sound is HUGE! ;)

The KH2 Vintage is a precise reproduction of first KH signature.

- fingerboard: rosewood, 25.5" scale, 24 XJ frets, "skull & crossbone" inlays, 42mm Locking Nut
- electronics: active EMG pickups 81 bridge / 81 neck (60 from 2009), 2 Volume, 1 Tone, 3 way switch
- hardware: original Floyd Rose bridge, Gotoh Tuners, Black Hardware
- logos and serials:
-- front of headstock: "ESP" light grey/gold glittered logo + "KIRK HAMMETT" in white
-- back of headstock: KXXXXXXX (8 digits, following the standard numeration) printed in black + "ESP CUSTOM SHOP" round logo (changed to "ESP SIGNATURE SERIES" during 2007) + Made in Japan patch
- colors and other features: Distressed Black with stickers "KIRK'S GUITARS" and "HOT CAUTION Part#850-0113"
- notes: comes with ESP C.O.A. and ESP hardcase
2012 - starting in 2012, the metal battery compartment was added.
2013 - there was no circular patch on the back of the headstock.
As far as I know this affected all custom shop models from Kiso in 2013 as in 2014 they moved to the world map patch.
