This is the 1986 VOICE FOR CHILDREN POSTER published by Stabur Graphics.   It measures 19 inches x 25 inches.  The same publishing house also produced the "Cartoonists Constitution" poster, which was the second and last poster wih collaborating cartoonist charity focus, and that piece was a fund raising effort on behalf of the American Cartoonists Museum.  I believe this piece to be the crowning achievement in comic book collaborative art and I guarantee you will feel the same.  The effort to design and manufacture these posters was major and it was the brain child of Phil Lerner, a Swampscott, MA fund raising guru and Paul Burke of Stabur Publishing and it was a fund raising effort for the Child's Welfare League of America.  There was some 10 million of licensing fees waived by the Comic Book Syndicates and Cartoon Production Studios as well as all art work of the Cartoon artists was donated at no charge.  The original art work traveled over 170,000 miles to 69 artists in 42 cities for their 172 superheroes, animation characters, newspaper funnies characters, comic book and cartoon characters, and celebrities.  As a cross collecting bonus, Ronald Reagan and his wife are showcased in the center.  Original paperwork that I possess shows Superman and Wonder Woman gracing the center of the original design but there was a DC Comics dispute so they were omitted, leaving room for our leader and the First Lady.  Also, lost in the DC dispute were Batman, Robin and the Green Lantern.  On the bright side, a positive gain of Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck did occur.

This art work features the greatest number of licenses granted for one original art work and the greatest number of cartoonists participating on one original art work.  Also, the first licensed appearances of Walt Disney and Walter Lantz characters on the same art work.  With its variety, along with great composition, you can spend quite a time just examining each scene of the piece which is essentially represents an "orchestra and choir" of characters singing all together for the welfare of children...hence the art work's name "VOICE FOR CHILDREN"  The art work is clear and concise and you can have nice time just reading the autographs reproduced on the bottom and matching them with the work each man created in the art work.

We purchased a limited quantity of these after years of being in storage and offer them up for sale to the lucky fans who find this listing.  These Voice for Children posters are BRAND NEW OLD STOCK and have NEVER BEEN FRAMED OR MATTED.  They will be shipped to you in a poster tube via USPS FIRST CLASS MAIL
