LISTING UPDATE !!!!! BRAKES NOW WORK I SPENT A COUPLE OF HOURS ON IT THIS MORNING AND HAVE NOW FITTED NEW BRAKE PIPES AND THE WHEEL CYLINDER. IT WILL STILL NEED MORE WORK THE REAR CYLINDERS HAVEN'T BEEN BLEED AS THE BLEED SCREWS ARE VERY LIKELY TO SNAP. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FREE THESE OFF OR GET NEW. THE REAR CYLINDERS ARE FAIRLY EASY TO GET. I CAN DELIVER TO SUSSEX NEXT FRIDAY IF THAT HELPS ANYONE BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO COME AND VIEW FIRST AND LEAVE AT LEAST A FEW HUNDRED AS A DEPOSIT 

A FEW ANSWERS TO OTHER QUESTIONS. IT IS UK REGISTERED AND ONLY NEEDS AN MOT. I HAVE THE FULL UK V5 IN MY NAME. IT HAS A 1000 KG  PAYLOAD WEIGHT.  THERE ARE NO KEYS THIS WAS A FIRE BRIGADE VEHICLE AND AS SUCH IT HAS A SPECIAL IGNITION SWITCH WHICH DOESN'T REQUIRE A KEY. YOU CAN EASILY FIT AN IGNITION BARREL IF YOU WANTED. IT WILL NEED 4 NEW TYRES BUT THEY ARE 165R15 TYRES SO EASY TO GET. I HAVE NOW WASHED ALL THE GREEN MUCK OFF IT BUT I HAVEN'T TRIED POLISHING IT AS I KNOW SOME PEOPLE PREFER THE FADED LOOK                                                                                                

A possible house move has prompted me to put my collection up for sale I will only be advertising this once so here is your chance to buy a real rarity. I brought this at the end of last year as a project. It has sat around for many years after breaking a driveshaft. I have had the shaft repaired and put it all back together this weekend. It now runs and drives but has no brakes it needs brake pipes and the shoes on the front replaced. It also needs a wheel cylinder on the n/s/f but I have a brand new one ready to fit. Now a bit about the van it was imported from the cote d'amor back in about 2000 it still has all the livery from when it was in service with the french pompiers. The bodywork is tidy just very dirty there is filler in it but overall it is solid. It is quite a rare model an R1237 fitted with a 1300 petrol engine I think this was the same as the 12ts. The engine starts and runs very well gearbox and clutch all work as they should. The suspension needs a bit of work on the front as it needs new cotter pins for the ball joints I will try and get these made this week. The brakes are the main problem as they will need a full overhaul you can get the parts pretty easily in France so nothing to tricky. It has a lot of original features but all the emergency equipment is disconnected and must be covered or removed to use it on the road. There is still the original stretcher in the back !! Sold with a spare engine gearbox and axles (not a 1300cc though) It also has the original spare set of studded snow tyres. It is left hand drive and will make a superb camper van so much better than all those vw type 2's you see everywhere. So why not be different I will try and give it a clean this week and sort the suspension. It will need trailering away but I can deliver at cost.
