IN SUPERB CONDITION,THE WHOLE CAR HAS BEEN PAMPERED,BUT THE FIBRE GLASS PANELS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE,THE STAINLESS PANELS AGAIN ARE EXCELLENT,THE CHASSIS,HAS NO SIGNS OF REPAIR,AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION,AND IS VERY COMPREHENSIVE IN ITS CONSTUCTION,AND IT DRIVES SPOT ON STRAIGHT AND TRUE,INBOARD SPAX COIL OVER SUSPENTION,FRONT AND REAR,DRILLED AND GROVED DISK'S WITH COPPER PIPES AND STAINLESS FLEXI PIPES,THESE WORK SUPERBLY,A SUBSTANTIAL INTEGRAL ROLL OVER BAR IS FITTED,AND THE WINDSCREEN IS IN PERFECT CONDITION,ALSO SUPPLIED IS THE SMALL AERO SCREEN,AND FULL WEATHER GEAR,WHICH FITS PERFECTLY AND IS IN AS NEW CONDITION,THIS INCLUDES THE TWO DOORS AND PVC TOP.THE PAINTWORK IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE,GEL COAT FROM THE FACTORY,WITH ONLY A FEW AGE RELATED MARKS,ONE SMALL SCUFF ON REAR ARCH AND SOME STONECHIPS TO REAR WHEELARCHES,WHICH ARE TO BE EXPECTED.

THIS STRIKER WAS FIRST BUILT WITH A 1300 CROSSFLOW,BUILT IN 1998,THEN IN 2002 IT RECIEVED THE TOYOTA ENGINE,A SUPERB INSTALLATION,USING ALL THE CORRECT PARTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS A FACTORY BUILT STANDARD STRIKER,LOOKS AS THOUGH THE ENGINE HAS ALWAYS BEEN FITTED,THE ENGINE ITSELF IS IN SUPERB CONDITION,LOW MILEAGE UNITS WERE SOURCED BY RAW ENGINEERING FOR THE CONVERSION,THIS ONE IS SPOTLESS INSIDE THE ROCKER GEAR,HAS NO LEAKS,SOUNDS FANTASTIC,LIKE AN ESCORT BDA I AM TOLD,RAW THEN FIT A DIFFERENT CAM,RE-MAPPED IGNITION,FIT TWIN DELLORTO CARBS,AND THAT SPECIAL EXHAUST,THE LIKE'S OF WHICH I HAVE NOT SEEN ON ANY OTHER STRIKER,IN THIS GUISE IT GIVES A QUOTED 175 BHP,AND I AM NOT GOING TO DISPUTE THAT AS I HAVE HAD SOME QUICK CARS IN MY TIME,BUT THIS IS IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE.THE GEARBOX IS A VERY SLICK CHANGING TYPE 9 5 SPEED,WORKS BEAUTIFULLY.IT MAKES YOU WANT TO CHANGE GEAR FOR THE FUN OF IT,DEFINATLY THE NICEST GEARCHANGE I HAVE EVER USED,THE DIFF IS NOT AN LSD,AND I DO NOT KNOW THE AXLE RATIO,BUT ITS A FORD AXLE,AND THE RATIO IS VERY WELL CHOSEN FOR ROAD USE,CERTAINLY ON A RUN IT WILL NOT BE UNDER GEARED,BUT NOT TOO SHORT GEARED NOT MAKE USE OF THE BLISTERING EXCELLERATION,ITS A VERY WELL CHOSEN SET UP.THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS EVERYWHERE,TWIN THROTTLE CABLES ARE USED,AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP IS FITTED,WITH FUEL REGULATOR,INLINE FILTER,THE RADIATOR LOOKS BRAND NEW AND HAS AN ELECTRIC FAN,NOTHING IS BOGED,EVERYTHING IS CORRECTLY THOUGHT OUT AND NICELY DETAILED,GIVING CONFIDENCE IN THE CARS BUILD QUALITY.THE STRIKER HANDLES WITH UTTER CONFIDENCE,AND ANY NEW OWNER WILL FEEL IMMEDIATLY AT HOME,THERE IS NO DELAY OR VAGUENESS TO THIS CAR,IT FEELS AN EXTENTION OF YOURSELF,THE INPUT OF THE DRIVER IS INSTANTLY FELT IN THE CARS HANDLING.

INTERIOR,

THIS WAS RE DONE A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO,CORRECT DASH BOARD,WITH CORRECTLY CALIBRATED SPEEDO AND REV COUNTER,DIGITAL MILEOMETER,ONLY HAS 345 MILES SHOWING,LAST MOT HAD 7,AS MENTIONED NEW LOOM FITTED AT RAW,CLOCK ZERO'D,REV COUNTER HAS TELL TALE LAST HIGHEST REV'S RECORDED FROM LAST JOURNEY,VERY NICELY TRIMED SEATS IN RED VYNAL WITH BLACK PIPING,THESE WERE REPLACED ONLY A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO,AND ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION,SAEBELT 3 POINT HARNESSES ARE FITTED,THERE IS NO ADDITIONAL PARTS FITTED SUCH AS RADIO OR HEATER,AND THERE ARE NO WIPERS FITTED,AS IT GETS MOT'D WITH AERO SCREEN,BUT IF NEEDED SHOULD EASILY BE ABLE TO FIT WIPER SET UP,AS FAR AS INTERIOR ROOM IS CONCERNED,I AM 6'2" AND OF STOCKY BUILD AND THERE IS AMPLE LEG ROOM.

WHEELS/TYRES.

I HAVE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS PURCASED BRAND NEW GENUINE MINILITE WHEELS ANODIZED GOLD,THESE ARE THE CORRECT OFFSET AND ARE 6X13 WITH SUPERB YOKOHAMA A509 185/60/13 TYRES,THE WHEELS ARE YET TO SEE TARMAC,

BEEN ASKED A QUESTION ON POWER OUTPUT,RAW ENGINEERING ARE STILL GOING STRONG AND CAN SUPPLY EVERY SINGLE PART FOR THIS CAR NEW,A NEW CAR WOULD COST CIRCA £15k,PLUS THE TIME TO BUILD,LOTS OF SWEARING,CUT FINGERS,POSSIBLE DIVORCE,ETC.

BACK WHEN THIS ENGINE WAS FIRST USED BY RAW ENGINEERING,YOU COULD HAVE A 160 BHP,WHICH HAD STANDARD CAM,MORE BASIC/CHEAPER EXHAUST MANIFOLD,AND THIS CONVERSION,WHICH HAD THE IMPROVEMENTS,AND QUOTED 175BHP,THEY ALSO DID A SUPERCHARGED VERSION,WHICH I THINK WAS EITHER 220 OR 240 BHP,THAT MUST OF BEEN SCARY QUICK,THIS CAR PUTS THE WIND UP WHEN YOU HIT THE ACCELERATOR,I DO HAVE SOME OLD KIT CAR MAGS WITH THESE QUOTED FIGURES,AND I HAVE BEEN TO RAW ENGINEERING AS THEY ARE LOCAL,GOT LATEST PRICE LIST WITH EVERYTHING AVAILABLE FOR THE STRIKER,AND THEY CONFIRM DIFFERENT POWER OUTPUTS FOR THE CONVERSIONS,HOPE THIS HELPS.
