BUSHIDO

Bushido is Japanese for "Way of the Warrior" and was the code of conduct by which the fabled samurai lived their lives.

This piece has the Japanese kanji symbols for Bushido (the 3 largest symbols running vertically on the right) brushed by hand onto a 20.85" x 17.9" piece of Japanese paper. It is stamped with the artist's hanko. This piece would look very nice framed and hung in a dojo or home.

To the left, the 7 bushido virtues are carefully brushed (read from top-to-bottom and right-to-left):

All pieces are individually brushed. When finished, they are marked with the artist's hanko (stamp) . Their authenticity is absolutely guaranteed, and the work is produced and shipped from Kanazawa, Japan.

Note: Please be careful when buying Japanese calligraphy. Some are clearly done by amateurs; some of whom are not familiar with the Japanese language. Often the kanjis are not correct for the intended meaning. (We've even seen this on tattoos!) Authentic Japanese calligraphy is an art that takes many years to truly master. This piece is done in the beautifully fluid "gyosho" (semi-cursive) style.
