In this DVD, Minoru Yasuhara, principal instructor of the ShinShinkan school of Soke Gerardo Cantore, shows us seven of the most representative of empty hand and weapons forms in the Okinawa tradition. The DVD begins with a sample of blocks zones and strike zones together with the complete work of Makiwara and the execution of the first 3 basic katas of the school: Taiso or the preparation Kata; the basic Kihon, and Naihanchi Kata, a short form of rapid movements originally from Shuri. Next are shown katas number 4 to 9 of the Shinshinkan school. In all of these the very essence of the Arts of Okinawa are summarized: force, speed, concentration and character.
