A: Nothing. All of our wiring is sealed with carbon fibre and there would be no shock from getting wet. Q: Can I use one temperature controller to power two people?
A: No, each person must have his or her own power cord and temperature controller. The power cord would be overloaded with two outfits. Q: Can I use the dual temperature controller for two people?
A: No. The same power cord is used and would be overloaded. Q: Which plug on the jacket is for power in?
A: The plug closest to the main zipper is the power in. The next plug (middle plug) on the wired jackets is the power in for gloves. The plug furthest away from the main zipper (female) is the accessory plug for connecting to your trousers. Q: How much power will I draw off the battery?
A: That depends on which garment(s) you are using. Refer to the standard form for reference. Q: Can my electrical system handle the draw?
A: Check the watts for each item of clothing that you will wear and up the total watts of all items. Refer to your owner's manual and/or dealer to look up the available wattage of your electrical system. Q: Is my heated clothing waterproof?
A: Gerbing's outerwear products and gloves are constructed to conform to the industry standards of waterproofing and will keep you dry. Gerbing's outerwear is constructed with a waterproof outer layer, or face fabric. The main function of the face fabric is to provide a durable outer shell. To make the face fabric waterproof, the inside of the fabric is laminated with a urethane coating that provides a protective moisture membrane. In addition, all seams are tape sealed and our outerwear fabrics have a durable water-repellent coating (DWR) which is a chemical treatment that forces water to bead up and roll off the surface of the fabric. Gerbing’s gloves (excluding glove liners and H7 gloves) are all constructed with a waterproof/breathable membrane to keep your hands dry. However, the leather is not waterproof and should be treated. Q: Can I wear my liner as an outer jacket?
A: Not when you are riding. The fabric and stitching are not made to withstand excessive wind, but are instead meant to be worn under a wind-resistant jacket. You may wear them as an outer jacket when walking around. Q: Can I wash my Gerbing's jacket liners, pants, or socks?
A: Yes, hand wash in laundry detergent and hang to dry. Q: How tightly can I package, roll, or twist my garments?
A: You may pack, twist, or roll your liner as small as you can ANY Gerbing's Heated Clothing.

Our classic heating system which has been refined throughout the years that utilizes insulated resistant copper heating wire that is sewn into fabric heating panels and then placed into the garment. Engineered for use in higher wattage drawing products that are to be powered by the 12v electrical system of a vehicle. GHC High Density heat products provide the most heat output and coverage but also require more power.

Some people who are new to our heated clothing naturally worry about how well the heating elements will wear over time. No matter how often you crumple your heated clothing to fit in a stuff sack, no matter how many years you own your heated clothing, we are confident that our heating system will continue to function flawlessly. How confident? The answer is a lifetime. To quote from our warranty card. When you purchase a Gerbing's heated garment within Europe, the electrical components of the garment are warranted to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the garment. Over decades of experience in manufacturing electrically heated clothing gives us an understanding of what you need and how best to provide for your needs. The non-electrical components of our clothing are warranted for one year after purchase. To quote from our warranty card: - "All other [non-electrical] components of the garment are warranted to be free from factory defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the initial purchase."
- You find anything wrong with the sewing or materials of any clothing you buy from us within the first year that was due to our negligence or mistake, or if any problem develops during the first year due to our negligence or mistake, we will fix it for free. All you do is pay for the shipping and handling.
3-year Warranty on Temp Controllers and Accessories
Gerbing's Temp Controllers and electrical components OR Accessories are warranted from factory defect for three years from the date of the initial purchase. Any alteration of the product voids the warranty. 90 Day Warranty on Rechargeable Batteries & Chargers Gerbing's rechargeable Lithium/NIMH battery packs and chargers are warranted from factory defect for 90 days from the initial purchase. Any alteration of the product voids the warranty. Special care should be taken to prolong the life of your battery. It is important that you charge your battery regularly and that you maintain at least 25% of your battery power when not in use or left idle. Batteries must only be used with products with an amp rating less than the maximum capacity output rating for the battery. Gerbing's will repair or replace any battery or charger found under normal use to be defective during the warranty period. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, abuse or improper care. Directions for returning items under warranty - Before sending in product, make sure that it falls under warranty.
- Any clothing product sent back for repairs must be WASHED or it may be returned at customer's expense.
- When completing Return/Exchange form, be sure to provide a phone number.
- Allow 2-4 weeks for repairs to be returned.
- Include a copy of original receipt with package
