This is an old spool of magnet wire. The spool is marked: WINCO  SIZE 42  ENAMELED

 I weighed the spool, and it weighs 17-1/2 ounces on my scale. The spool measures 2-3/8" diameter x 3-1/4" high. The spool is wrapped in paper, it appears that it was never opened.  I will be glad to answer questions.
