The black top hat has an inner lining of silk with the stamp of the shop "J Wright Dublin, Hatter to His Majesty King Edward VII" "33 Westmorland Street, Dublin"
The beaver skin feels very soft and tactile. The borders of the hat are well curved.
There is a small air/vent hole at the top of the hat.
The circumference of the hat is 22 inches which makes the hat size a Large at about 7 1/4 to 7 1/2.
The hat is in overall very good condition.
There is a small amount of candle wax on the left front brim (see photos)
The hat completes with its original box.
It is made of leather and canvas, reinforced by metal plates and rivets.
The box features a locking mechanism (no key present, non working)
Great for display and also still ready for use. Overall VG+ authentic condition showing signs of minimal wear for such an antique luxury hat.
