This is a great student, homeschooling or lab grade microscope with excellent optics and mechanics. The binocular tube with 100x objective and mechanical stage makes this a perfect option for a higher education student or even a lab/veterinarian hospital! Don't let its age fool you. The SC is one of the most successful models ever produced by Nikon and one of the few still around that was actually made in Japan! They don't make microscopes like this anymore!
