This chalkware standing man or boy with hat is 10 ¾ inches
tall. It is molded from plaster of paris. It is likely from the Pennsylvania
area and dates to the 19th century. The man has his
right hand on a pillar and in his left is his hat. It has its original paint
which is white, black, green, red and mustard. There is some paint loss but
this is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This shape
seems to be pretty scarce and is a copy of the figures made in Staffordshire
England at the time.
