This is a pair of antique wooden folding slat chairs, both marked with patent date of Sept. 5th, 1898. Condition of one chair is slightly better than the other, but the difference is not very noticeable. One chair has a crack in one of the slats on the seat and a shallow crack (more of a flake) on the side, both shown in the photos. The finish on that chair is slightly more worn than the other. It still feels sturdy and has been used recently with no problems. The other one shows light minor wear from age and feels sturdy and solid. They both fold nearly flat, and when unfolded for use measure 35 1/2" H (top to bottom of chair back) x 15 1/2" W (side to side), the seats are 14" deep and stand 17" off the ground. They will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping.
