The Board

Raspberry Pi 3 Model B board features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1 GB RAM. It is quiet, energy efficient and so small it fits in the palm of your hand. It uses less energy than a very dim light bulb. Paired with a NOOBs card, you've got the perfect piece of hardware for a computer, dedicated media center, or one of a thousand other projects.

The Case

The case comes in high quality ABS and is held together with four small screws. It requires only a small screwdriver for assembly and disassembly. The case weighs in at 2.25 ounces and features the following:

The Power Supply

When it comes to your Pi, you have to be very careful choosing a power supply. Most simply won't provide enough power for the board and accessories, such as IR receivers, USB wifi adapters, and USB storage. 700mA or 1A is simply not enough power, and the 5 Volt supplies that are easily found are typically paired with cheap USB cables which really only feeds your Pi with about 4.7 Volts. These factors can lead to unreliable performance, locking up, crashing, and rebooting.

GizmoJunkies power supplies were designed specifically to overcome the shortcomings of the "typical" power supplies that are paired with the Raspberry Pi. The 5 Volts overcomes the voltage drop from most USB cables, and 2.5 amps provides plenty of power for many USB powered accessories. NOOBs

This pre-formatted Class 10 (for OOO-BER high performance) SD Card comes loaded with the following Linux distributions which are written specifically with the RasPi in mind:

Raspbian Wheezy (It's not as asthmatic as the name implies).

RaspBMC (The dope every Junkie wants to get their shaky hands on)

PiDora (A Junkie's worst nightmare! Kidding...no demons or monsters coming out of this box, we swear!)

OpenELEC (If you so choose, it's up to you!)

ArchLinux (We may have run out of nerdy things to say at this point...it's Linux at it's core.)
