Denon DVD-2910 DVD/CD/SACD/DVD-Audio Player

Overall:  The Denon DVD 2910 has all the Audio & Video basis covered.  Most importantly, most True Audiophiles will appreciate that the DENON 2910 as a "Universal DVD player,  so it's equally edept at playing DVD-Audio & SACD discs. is will beat any DVD/SACD player in the $1000 range to $2000 USD with no compromise in High Quality type CD's, or any of the Red Book CD  performance either.
MSRP: $ 1000, after taxes.      I'm selling mine for $477 + S/H.

As an audio player,  DVD/CD/SACD/DVD-Audio Player:
In terms of  Analog,  the above: " DVD/CD/SACD/DVD-Audio Player " of the Title has a specific meaning: If an audiophile wants True, Real, Hi-Fi Quality,  either  in 2-Channel Audio (RCA/Out/2-Ch)...  or for movies in 5.1 (RCA/OUT/ Main: Left, Center, Right, Rear Left, Rear Right, & subwoofer).  I recommend all audio connections from the Denon 2910 to ones Audio System via Analog connections (RCA input/outputs). All your SACD/DVD/CD discs will significantly sound better in terms of Red Book CD, DVD-Audio, SA-CD, and HDCD performance over many of the current, newer Digital DVD/CD players in the market place today. As an added bonus, the DAC built in this DENON 2910 is state of the art vs. connecting ones SACD/DVD/CD player by the digital connections from all other SACD/DVD/CD players .  It should be common place to know, "if one wants Real Hi-Fi Audio, one needs to listen to their music or DVD's in Analog, Not in digital" !

In Terms of Digital:  This Denon SACD/DVD/CD player is equipped with all common Audio Digital connections:  HDMI, Digital RCA/Out, & Toslink - Fiber Optical/Out.  Also in this DENON 2910, you get a 4:4:4 pull-down 216MHz/12bit Analog Devices ADV-7310 video DAC and a Burr Brown 1791 192Khz/24bit audio DAC along with the Genesis FLI-2310 (Faroujda DCDi) de-interlacer plus both DVI-D and HDMI connections.

As a video DVD player:  In terms of video in Analog, this Denon 2910 player has a Great, Component RCA/Out connections (Blue/Green/Yellow).  And as a matter of fact, if one has very good to Great,  component Video cables, one will achieve a Better Video signal to your High Difination TV than most/many HDMI cables out in the market place. I only recommend HDMI cables, only, if one is willing to acquire, Real Hi-Fi Quality HDMI cables.  Call me to Discuss this:  Don 480.600.2016  (a Real Hi-Fi Audio Consultant, 25-years. plus).

Specifics, on the video side, the DVD-2910 can upscale video output to HD-friendly 720p and 1080i resolutions via its onboard DVI and HDMI connections (most players have only one or the other).    As a video player, it is not flawless in terms of its video benchmark results, but more importantly it is among a handful of top contenders for a DVD Player. In addition, I've seen many HD-Televisions with this unit achieve the same quality video imagery as many new systems out there, today with using a good/Great pair of RCA Component Cables. (BLUE/GREEN/YELLOW), then audiophiles using their HDMI cables.

In Short, my M.O is helping Audiophiles on a budget.
To achieve Real Hi-Fi Quality, Audio/Video at a fraction of the cost to Brand New using specific Ultra Hi-end audio/video equipment that's considered obsolete, but if fact, when connected correctly to these Premium machines, 10-years old.... is better then brand new.
Please call me to discuss all your options.  I can save you thousands of dollars buying audio equipment at a fraction the cost vs. buying Brand New.

As a B&W Consultant for over 20-years, with Any Bowers & Wilkins/ Rotel/ Denon item, Audio is always first, hence top quality AUDIO PARTS go into All Bowers & Wilkins/ Rotel/ Denon HiFi Audio Equipment.  Not all HiFi Home Theater Receivers puts AUDIO, first. So, if one has great quality speakers, Bowers & Wilkins/ Rotel/ Denon is the "AUDIO"..... way to go.

In Addition, HDMI is only good to a point.  Mainly for cable management.  But, for Audio HiFi First, there are usually Better way's to connects an Audio/Home Theater System when one has Great Speakers, Call me to Discuss this: Don 480.600.2016.
